A 59-year-old construction worker was flown to a Baltimore hospital after he was injured while working at a residence hall construction site at Frostburg State University late Thursday morning. The Cumberland Times News reports the contractual company employee sustained injuries while working with a power tool, according to the Allegany County Department of Emergency Services Division. Following on-scene treatment by DES personnel, the victim was flown to Union Memorial Hospital by Trooper 5, a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter. The Frostburg Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene upon alert by the Allegany County 911 emergency center.

Union Memorial is known as being a center for reattaching limbs, hands and fingers. Let’s hope it is not something they can’t repair.
