Weekly COVID-19 Update: For the week of September 17-23, 2021, Mountain Ridge High School and the Center for Career and Technical Education met the Maryland Department of Health's (MDH) definition of a school-wide outbreak of COVID-19 by having three or more classrooms/cohorts with at least two or more positive cases within a 2-week period.  These two schools, along with Fort Hill High School, remain on the MDH list of schools with School Wide Outbreaks.

ACPS had three schools with classrooms/cohorts that met the definition of a classroom/cohort outbreak due to two or more individuals in the classroom/cohort testing positive for COVID-19. These schools were Braddock Middle School, Allegany High School, and Beall Elementary School.

ACPS had six staff members and 66 students reported as positive for COVID-19 during this time.  All positive individuals complete a 10-day isolation period. Six staff members and 218 students were identified as a close contact to a positive person. Those who are close contacts complete a quarantine period of 10-20 days, depending on their individual circumstances.
