On May 21, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department were dispatched to Sheetz convenience store located at 419 Virginia Avenue for a shoplifting complaint. Officers were informed that a male suspect and a female suspect had left the store heading toward Virginia Avenue. The first responding officer was able to locate the suspects identified as, Roger Lee Richardson and Angela Marie Berry. Richardson and Berry were identified as the suspects and later admitted to stealing merchandise from the store. Both Richardson and Berry were placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Richardson and Berry were issued citations for theft and released pending a trial date in District Court.

Arrested: Roger Lee Richardson Age: 51 of Cumberland, Maryland
Charge: Theft Less than $100.
Disturbance Arrest
On May 22, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 107 ½ Pennsylvania Avenue for an intoxicated female causing a disturbance inside the residence. Upon the officers arrival they contacted Tabitha Yonker outside the residence. Yonker who was intoxicated did not have any clothes on from the waist down. Officers contacted several residents who advised that Yonker was the person causing problems. As officers were speaking with the complainants, Yonker began to create a disturbance by yelling and screaming. Yonker was advised by the officers that she needed to refrain from creating any further disturbances or she would be arrested. Yonker failed to obey the officer’s orders and began to yell profanity. Yonker was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Yonker was processed and served with a criminal citation. Yonker was later released from the station pending a trial date in District Court.
