Dip Deep Brewery Set to Open Next Week

August 16th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority executive director Dee Dee Ritchie announcing last month that the long awaiting opening of the Dig Deep Brewery at the Footer Dye Works building is tentatively set for a week from today.  Robert Dettinburn, an owner of the proposed craft brewery, has not officially announced what Ritchie called a “soft opening”, but all signs are pointing in that direction. Equipment issues, problems gaining access to all parts of the building and a myriad of permitting issues have all contributed to several missed proposed opening dates. Dettinburn told WCBC News recently that is  cautious about setting a firm timeline for a grand opening but he did say most of the hurdles have now been cleared…

The four-story Footer building features 24 luxury apartments on the second, third and fourth floors- with the first floor targeted for commercial use.

Best of luck to them and I’m looking forward to going there.
They have been the butt of some jokes for a while now but, hopefully, all of that has passed.
Hope to see them at the craft beverage festival at the end of the month.
