Drug Arrest of Baltimore Man Made in Frostburg

On July 22, 2020 members of the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit, Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, Cumberland Police Department, Frostburg City Police Department and Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack executed a search and seizure warrant in the 100 block of South Broadway, Frostburg, MD. The search and seizure warrant was the result of a six-month-long investigation into the distribution and sales of fentanyl in the Allegany County area.  

 

Located during the search warrant was a large amount of fentanyl, prescription narcotics, CDS packaging materials, ammunition and a large sum of U.S. Currency.      

 

As a result, James Thorne Wilson, 30, of Baltimore, MD was arrested and charged with the following:

 

  • CDS: POSSESS WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE: NARCOTIC (2 Counts)
  • CDS: POSSESS WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2 Counts)
  • CDS: POSSESS WITH INTENT TO DIST: SCHOOL PROPERTY (4 Counts)
  • CDS POSSESS-NOT MARIJUANA
  • ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION

 

Following his initial appearance, Wilson was held without bond. The investigation is on-going and more charges are pending.
