Gas Prices Down This Memorial Day

WBAL reports gas prices in Maryland are a good bit lower this Memorial Day holiday than one year ago. The average for regular is hovering around $3.58 currently.  That compares with $3.85 or more in late May 2011. The current average is also a nickel lower than a week ago and about 30 cents below a month ago. And gasoline in Maryland is a relative bargain, about a dime lower than the current national average. The downward trend is expected to continue in the next few weeks. However, according to Patrick DeHaan of marylandgasprices.com that could change, depending on whether any hurricanes threaten refiners or if the economy changes. Dehaan believes the price will stabilize for most of the rest of the summer…
