Groundbreaking held for new State Police Barrack

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday afternoon, representing the next step toward the construction of a new Cumberland Maryland State Police Barrack. Governor Larry Hogan and the Maryland General Assembly approved plans for a new state-of-the-art facility to replace the aging and outdated barrack, which had been in continual operation for 62 years and what had become the oldest barrack in the state.
