Oldtown Woman Arrested On 57 Counts Of Theft

On August 21, 2019 Officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Love’s Truck Stop located at 13300 Ali Ghan Road, for a report of an employee stealing items for the past two months.  Upon the officer’s arrival, they made contact with the general manager.  Officers were directed to his office where they contacted the suspect, Rebecca Ann Keech (Twigg).  During an investigation into the matter officers learned that Keech had been fraudulently returning items in the store for cash.   Officers were given store records that indicated exact dates and times that items were fraudulently returned for cash.   The officers were able to determine that from June 6, 2019 until August 21, 2019, Keech had taken a total of $7,248.45 from the store.  As a result, Keech was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Keech was processed and served with 1 count of Theft Scheme and 57 additional counts of theft.  Keech was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her initial appearance.  Keech was released on her own personal recognizance.

Charges: 1 count of Theft Scheme and 57 counts of Theft.

    Even though we constantly hear about the individuals who choose the wrong plan there are so many hard working, kind and GOD loving people in Cumberland. Don’t forget that.
