Domestic Assault Arrest
On January 27, 2016 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Sheetz on Greene Street for a domestic assault complaint. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a female victim and a male suspect. Both subjects were located inside a passenger vehicle at the time of the officer’s arrival. During an investigation into the matter officers learned from the female victim that she was involved in an argument with Richard Paul Sacchetti when the argument turned physical. The victim told officers that Sacchetti shoved her head into the car window causing her glasses to cut her face. The victim had visible injuries that did not require treatment at the scene. Sacchetti was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Sacchetti was taken before the District Court Commissioner and later held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $17,500 bond.
