Police Serve Arrest Warrant from Robbery

On November 6, 2018 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Caelan Patrick Ryan O’Toole, age 18 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The warrant was issued as a result of an investigation by the Cumberland City Police Department on October 27, 2018. During the incident, officers were called to 201 South Street in reference to a breaking and entering complaint.  An investigation into the matter revealed that the homeowner heard and later observed three subjects break into his residence concealing their identities. Demands were made by the suspects for the homeowner to hand over valuables as he was threatened with a large board.  The homeowner was never struck with the object but items were taken from the residence. The suspects fled the residence prior to the police arriving. During this investigation, O’Toole was developed as a suspect and charges were applied for at District Court resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.  O’Toole was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. O’Toole was held in the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Arrested: Caelan Patrick Ryan O’Toole                                       Age: 18 of Cumberland, Maryland

Charges: Burglary 1st and 3rd, 1st Degree Assault and Armed Robbery.
