The make-up of the Allegany County Board of Education will be changing at the start of the New Year as newly elected Tammy Fraley and Lorelee Farrell will be officially sworn into to office in ceremonies set for Tuesday, January 3rd. Fraley and Farrell were the top vote getters in the November election. As a result, last week’s meeting of the board was the finale for Ed Root and Nick Hadley. Root had opted not to seek another term, while Hadley finished just out of the running in the election. Both men were honored by their fellow board members and others with parting gifts and recognitions during Tuesday’s session.
