UPDATE: Power outages widespread in region

February 13th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

At the height of the problem, more than 10,000 customers in the region were without power as a result of the ice storms and strong winds knocking down trees and power lines. A Potomac Edison Spokesman told WCBC News that crews remain on the scene in Allegany, Mineral and Garrett counties working on the problems.  Locally Frostburg and the Georges Creek area appear to be the hardest hit. Power to all residents effected may not be restored until late tonight
