GOP candidate for Governor opposes plan for earlier count of mail-in ballots

Republican nominee for governor Dan Cox says the move by the State Board of Elections to ask a court for permission to count mail-in ballots once they are received is unconstitutional since only the legislature can make changes to election laws. He also says the count would be under disparate and unequal standards since mail-in ballots would be counted early, and Election Day ballots would be counted after polls closed.
