Over 1,000 Baltimore Schools employees miss November deadline to get vaccinated
WBAL reports that It looks like more than 1,000 Baltimore City school employees missed the Nov. 1 deadline to get the COVID-19 vaccine, which has left the district with few options. In short, the system said time has run out for employees to get shots or to make the case of why they should get a pass. So far, more than 87% of employees have followed the districtwide vaccination mandate. That number includes those who have applied for exemptions based on religious or medical reasons.
Two more charged in Garrett kidnapping, homicide
According to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office, two more people have been charged in connection with the kidnapping and killing of a Garrett County man last month, according to the Garrett County Sheriff's Office. A news release issued Tuesday reported that Adam Matthew Shaffer, 35, and Alexandra Gabrielle Abbott, 30, both of Eglon, West Virginia, were each charged with kidnapping, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. City Police Makes Disturbance Arrest
On Monday, November 1st, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Bond Street residence for the report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they spoke with a witness and a female victim that stated Justin Tyler Andrews had assaulted the female victim prior to police arriving. Officers observed an injury to the victim’s neck area that was consistent with the statements. Andrews was arrested and charged with assault. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond. Justin Tyler Andrews, age; 32, Cumberland, Maryland.

Supreme Court Considers Two Divisive Cases
Legalizing recreational marijuana and efforts to reverse Roe vs Wade are two hotly debated issues dividing the nation- and Marylanders were asked for their opinions.
