On Saturday at approximately 7:00 PM the Cumberland City Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Decatur Street for a disturbance.
Upon arrival officers contacted the victim who advised Ernest Thomas Magruder III had come to the residence and was pounding on the front door. While Mr. Magruder was pounding on the door he destroyed the window frame on the door. Officers observed the damage to the window frame consistent with the victim’s statements. Mr.
Magruder was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner. Magruder was released on his personal recognizance.
Arrested – Ernest Thomas Magruder III (36) Cumberland, MD
Charge – Attempted 4th Degree Burglary, Destruction of Property, and Trespassing
