On Thursday, June 24th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Valley Street for the report of an intoxicated male yelling in the street. When officers arrived, they located the male in question who was identified as Johnathon Bobby Daniel Tichinel. While speaking with Tichinel, officers were approached by two residents on Valley Street who stated prior to their arrival, Tichinel had knocked several times on their door and when they answered, he tried to force his way in and they had to push him back and close the door. Tichinel was arrested and a search of his person was conducted and a quantity of marihuana was seized. He was charged with 4th degree burglary, disorderly conduct, and possession of marihuana under 10 grams. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.
