Cumberland Police Make Pot Bust After Littering Complaint

Cumberland Police responded to the Roses parking lot on Queen City Dr. for a report of a subject littering.

Upon their arrival they observed a vehicle matching the description and made contact with the subject inside. At this time he pointed to a female that was in another vehicle and advised that it was her that was cleaning her car out throwing stuff on the ground. She was contacted while sitting in the passenger seat of a van. While talking with her the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. She was asked about this and stated that she didn’t know anything about it this wasn’t her vehicle.

The male occupant was identified as Scott Anthony Brant. He advised that he had a marijuana bowl under the passenger’s seat. The vehicle was searched and the following were located in the vehicle. A smoking device with marijuana, a digital scale and 37.6 grams of marijuana along with a sum of currency. Brant was placed under arrest and transported to Ph where he was charged and processed.

Scott Anthony Brant Age: 45 Iris Ave.

Charges: Poss. of marijuana with intent to distribute, poss. of marijuana

Brant was released on a $5000 unsecured Bond.
