Frostburg Police Charge Three Virginia Men, Including Fugitive

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 1:26 p.m., Frostburg City Police were called to a local hotel for a report of recurring suspicious and possible drug activity in the parking lot by individuals who were presently in the lot and who were not current guests at the hotel.
Upon contacting the individuals at the scene, who were in their vehicles, officers learned that a passenger, Damonye Taekwon Anderson, 25, of Chesterfield, Virginia, had extraditable capias arrest warrants out from Virginia in connection with charges involving receiving stolen firearms, possessing a sawed off shotgun, controlled dangerous substance violation, and felony eluding.
Officers placed Anderson under arrest as a fugitive from justice, processed him, and transported him to a District Court Commissioner, where he was ordered held without bond in the Allegany County Detention Center pending extradition proceedings. He remained jailed following a bail review by a District Court Judge.
Frostburg City Police officers also charged two different suspect drivers at the scene of the suspicious activity in Frostburg with serious traffic violations:
Trevon Malik Black, 26, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, was charged with driving on a suspended out of state license.
Steffon Latrelle Williams, 26, of Petersburg, Virginia, was charged with driving on a revoked out of state license.
Black and Williams were released at the scene on citations pending trial in District Court.
