Maryland Has Approved $150 Million in State Relief Funds and Loans

Maryland Commerce Secretary Kelly Schulz said Monday Maryland has disbursed or approved all of the nearly $150 million in state coronavirus relief grants and loans. Schulz told WBAL that of the 5,012 businesses approved for grants, 4,300 have had agreements sent to them. Comptroller Peter Franchot has disbursed roughly half of the $65 million in grant funding. Of the $75 million in loan funding, $65 million was claimed in applications filed in late March, in the first two days the program was open.
