Maryland Officials Eye Completion of North/South Corridor

January 25th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Maryland officials continue to push for completion of the north/south corridor leading from Pennsylvania into Maryland and West Virginia.  Although a new section of U.S. Route 219 just opened between Somerset and Meyersdale, there are still several miles left between Meyersdale and the Maryland line.  Comptroller Peter Franchot told WCBC News at the PACE Reception in Annapolis that Maryland could help Pennsylvania with the final section.

WCBC News also spoke with Congressman David Trone, the newly elected Democrat from the 6th District.  Trone says his predecessor, John Delaney, is working hard to win the party nomination for president.

WCBC’s coverage of PACE continues this morning with the legislative breakfast in the 8 o’clock hour.
