On Thursday, May 14th, 2020 Cumberland Police Officers were in a convince store in the area of Greene Street when they could hear a male creating a disturbance inside. Contact was made with the male who was identified as George Lester Harman Jr. Harman was warned about his behavior and was told to stop causing a disturbance because it was disrupting the business and patrons. Harman became confrontational with officers and despite several warnings, he continued to create a disturbance. He was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place and causing a public disturbance. Harman was issued a criminal citation and was released pending trial at District Court.
