Allegany county emergency services responded to a vehicle accident early this morning around 5:00 on interstate 68 eastbounder exit 40 in LaVale. It was a two vehicle rollover with entrapment and emergency services personnel were on scene for approximately an hour and a half before re opening the eastbound lanes.

On August 31st, 2021 officers of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a drug investigation that resulted in a Search and Seizure Warrant being issued for a residence on Frederick Street. As a result of the investigation, quantities of controlled dangerous substances and controlled paraphernalia were seized. Zakkery Sabastian Grady and David Joseph Snyder were placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner for their initial appearance.
