On July 29, 2019 Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Michael Shane Sweitzer, age 51 of Cumberland, Maryland. The charges were issued after officers from the Cumberland City Police Department were handling a complaint on July 16, 2019 at 180 North Mechanic Street. During this incident, Sweitzer provided a fake name to officers. Sweitzer was served with the summons and released pending a trial date in District Court.
