Mishaps Clutter Saturday Morning Roads

November 25th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

The National Weather Service extended Saturday's Winter Storm Warning until late in the afternoon, but the worst of the icy weather hit just after dawn, with a number of traffic accidents stretching the length of the county. As of late morning, most of the freezing rain and sleet had changed over to rain, which was chilling, but not as difficult to drive around in.

The most noticable of Saturday morning's traffic accidents due to slick road conditions occurred on the Clarysville Bridge on westbound Interstate 68 at around 7:45 AM. Five vehicles were involved in the incident, and three people were taken to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, although none of the injuries sustained in the collision is thought to be serious.
