NewCold Plans Warehouse in Hagerstown
The city of Hagerstown continues to add new businesses. A company called NewCold plans to invest $275 million dollars in a temperature-controlled automated warehouse. NewCold is a leader in advanced food logistics, with 22 warehouses on three continents, specializing in advanced automation to move and store product. The new warehouse will be located on Oak Ridge Drive and will create up to 150 new jobs.

THEFT ARREST
On May 31st, 2025 at approximately 7:47 p.m, an officer responded to the area of Queen City Drive for the report of a theft from an adjacent business. Upon arrival to the area, the officer located an individual matching the description of the suspect. The officer made contact with Jason Donald Kaufman who was still in possession of the reported stolen items. Kaufman was subsequently placed under arrest, after a brief investigation. Westernport Elementary School back in the Classroom
Westernport Elementary School staff and students were excited to be back in the classroom Thursday. Westernport staff and administration welcomed each student on the Frostburg State University campus, where they will be attending school, until June 6, 2025.
