One Transported From I-68 Crash

One person was transported by helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following a crash on Interstate 68 Friday morning. Emergency crews responded just before 9am for a vehicle with rollover and entrapment just beyond the Clarysville Bridge. Westbound lanes of the interstate were closed for a time to allow a medivac helicopter to land at the scene. 

Offutt Street Burglary Arrest

On Thursday, October 9th, 2025, Officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 300 block of E. Offutt St. for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, officers contacted the residents who advised they had located an unknown female sleeping in an upstairs bedroom. The residents advised they did not know why the female was there and that she did not have permission to be in the home. West Virginia’s Investment Management Board is working to enact a divestment plan encouraged by state treasurer Larry Pack that would divest the state’s funds from Chinese-owned companies. Congresswoman Will Forego Salary

Congresswoman April McClain Delaney announced Thursday afternoon that she has sent a request that her salary be withheld for the duration of the government shutdown. In a letter to the Chief Administrative Officer of the U.S. House of Representatives, McClain Delaney said she plans on donating her pay to nonprofits within the 6th district that are addressing food insecurity for families impacted by cuts to SNAP and other federal programs. House of Representatives members make $174,000 per year.
