Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Report

The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police have combined resources to target open and active warrants. As a result, the following individuals have been apprehended. Thursday, January 4, 2024 Robert Michael Bridges, 47 of Cumberland, was arrested on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation. His original conviction was for two (2) counts of Burglary-First Degree where he was sentenced to 20-years incarceration with all but 10-years suspended and 5-years supervised probation. CDS Arrest

On January 4th, 2024, officers with The Cumberland Police Department observed a 2005 Nissan commit a traffic violation Bellvue St. The vehicle was stopped and contact made with the operator, Karen Frances Moreland, 49, of Cumberland MD. During the course of the stop, a CPD K9 was utilized to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle which positively alerted to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. Virginia Ave Assault and Disturbing the Peace Arrest

On January 4th, 2024, The Cumberland Police Department responded to the 200 block of Virginia Ave for a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers observed a female subject there who was screaming and throwing items in public. When officers contacted the female, she quickly advanced toward them and threw soda on one of the officers. She then turned and attempted to leave the area on foot. Greene St Theft Arrest

On January 4th, 2024, The Cumberland Police responded to a business in the 200 block of Greene St for the report of a theft. Upon arrival on scene, Officers contacted an employee who advised a male subject was actively stealing items from the store. The officers then contacted the male subject and found that he had concealed numerous food items on his person. As a result, Matthew Schafer Zink, 40, was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters. He was issued a criminal citation for theft and released, pending trial in District Court. Disturb the Peace Assault Arrest

On January 4th, 2024, The Cumberland Police Department responded to the UPMC Western Maryland hospital on Willowbrook Rd for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted both medical and security personnel. Officers were advised that a male subject, identified as Eric Roger Marmaduke, 54, of Hagerstown MD, had been creating a disturbance in the facility, cursing at and threatening staff.  Officers then made contact with the subject who immediately became confrontational with officers. Bench Warrant Arrest

On Thursday, January 4th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police arrested Benjamin Jacob Reimer, 43, of Cumberland MD. Reimer was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County Circuit Court on January 2nd, 2024. The warrant alleged that Reimer violated the terms of his court ordered pre-trial release that stemmed from a previous assault charge. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond. 5 Arrested for Burglary

On January 4th, 2024, The Cumberland Police Department responded to a vacant residence in the 900 block of Maryland Ave for the report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject standing directly outside a broken window to the residence. The subject was found to be in possession of multiple blankets and CDS paraphernalia. When questioned, he stated he believed there were more subjects hiding inside.
