Constitution Park Pool is not targeted for closure

May 15th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Social media rumors are spreading this week that the city is considering closing the Constitution Park swimming pool- but a member of the city council says that is not the case. Apparently the rumors began circulating as a result of a city survey on Facebook asking if city residents are still willing to pay for the operation of the pool. It does not suggest that the pool is under consideration for closure. City Councilman Richard Rock Cioni tells WCBC News that the city has invested more than $300,000 in the park and the pool in recent years and there are no plans to close it.
