Information Sought in Pharmacare Robberies

During the early morning hours on 02/29/2012, an unknown suspect broke into the Pharmacare Pharmacy on Bedford Road. The suspect used a large rock to break the glass in the front doors of the business to gain entry. Surveillance cameras show that once inside, the suspect jumped over the counter and removed a large amount of pain killing medication from the shelves, placing them in a plastic bag that he brought himself. The suspect then exited the store.

Then, during the early morning hours on 03/26/2012, the pharmacy was again broken in to. Once again, a large amount of pain killing medications was stolen.

The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded both times to initially investigate the incidents. The scene was processed for evidence by an Evidence Collection Technician with the Forensic Sciences Division of the Maryland State Police. Continued investigation is being conducted by the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I).

The surveillance video shows a white male suspect, wearing dark clothing and gloves. The suspect covered his face in an attempt to conceal his identity. Surveillance video also captured what is believed to be a possible suspect vehicle outside the business during the time of the incident.
