COVID-19 Vaccines for Young Children Now Available in MD
Having received FDA approval Friday, Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for use in young children is now available in Maryland. Specifically, the FDA authorized two doses of Moderna for children ages 6 months to 17 years and three doses of Pfizer for children ages 6 months to 4 years. Previously, the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine was authorized for ages 18 and older, while Pfizer was authorized for ages 5 and up. In a memo to top supporters obtained by WBAL NewsRadio, a top advisor to Republican gubernatorial candidate Kelly Schultz accused the Democratic Governors Association of interfering in Republican primaries across the country. Doug Mayer said the Democratic Governors Association is behind push polls designed to boost Shultz's opponent, Delegate and Trump-endorsed candidate Dan Cox. Schultz has been endorsed by Gov. Larry Hogan. Schultz was a former commerce secretary for Hogan. In a Baltimore Sun poll released earlier this month, Schultz led Cox 27% to 21% with 40% undecided.

Warbird Showcase at the Greater Cumberland Regional Airport big hit Father’s Day weekend
The Warbird Showcase at the Greater Cumberland Regional Airport over the Father’s Day weekend was a big hit with Junior aviators, parents, especially David Burns from Cumberland, winner of the B-25 flight giveaway. Local members of Experimental Aircraft Association and the Civil Air Patrol were on hand provide information and aviation education. Police Arrest One Downtown for Use of CDS
The Cumberland Police responded to the area of the Canal Shops for a report of two subjects possibly using CDS. Upon arrival, officers contacted Cody Michael Horwath, age 33, of Cumberland, MD. Horwath had an outstanding Arrest Warrant for Fail to Appear for an original assault charge. Horwath was placed under arrest. Once in custody, Horwath was found to be in possession of CDS. He was charged additionally with two counts of Possession of CDS-Not Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.
