Gov. Moore addressed mental and behavioral health services in Baltimore

Gov. Wes Moore traveled to Baltimore on Friday to talk about supporting services that address mental health. WBAL reports Moore held a roundtable at Behavioral Health System Baltimore with Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra. Like many, Moore said members of his own family are battling with mental and behavioral health problems, and that the approach to the issue needs to change. Mary Maxine (Mongold) Mazzone, 96, formerly of Westernport, passed away on Jan. 23, 2023, at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on Oct. 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late David and Frances Cecila Mongold. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Anthony "Tony" Mazzone. Maxine was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. She attended Catherman's Business School, and worked as a typist at the Kelly. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. DISORDERLY CONDUCT ARREST

On Thursday, January 26, 2023 at approximately 8:53 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Willowbrook Road near Pine Avenue for a report of female jumping out into traffic.  Police located the female, Gracee Jacobs, walking in the roadway.  Jacobs was observed impeding traffic and making offensive gestures to motorists.  She was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking.  She was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance. Harrison Street Assault Arrest

On Thursday, January 26, 2023 at approximately 8:00 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 200 block of E. Harrison Street for a disturbance between a male and female.  Police arrived and contacted the involved parties.  Officers learned that an assault had occurred.  The alleged victim reported that he was struck in the face by the female who was identified as Jazzlyn Albright.   The victim had sustained injuries as a result of the assault.  Albright was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing.  Albright was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released…

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served two bench warrants on Brian Garletts.  Circuit Court bench warrant: Failure to Appear in court on original 1st Degree Assault charge.
