Mary Maxine (Mongold) Mazzone, 96, formerly of Westernport, passed away on Jan. 23, 2023, at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on Oct. 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late David and Frances Cecila Mongold. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Anthony "Tony" Mazzone. On Thursday, January 26, 2023 at approximately 8:53 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Willowbrook Road near Pine Avenue for a report of female jumping out into traffic. Police located the female, Gracee Jacobs, walking in the roadway. Jacobs was observed impeding traffic and making offensive gestures to motorists. On Thursday, January 26, 2023 at approximately 8:00 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 200 block of E. Harrison Street for a disturbance between a male and female. Police arrived and contacted the involved parties. Officers learned that an assault had occurred.
